United States Results Report 2022-2024 - For Public Comment

In 2025, the Independent Reporting Mechanism (IRM) published the Results Report for the United States fifth national action plan. The report reviews the level of completion and early open government results for commitments in the action plan.

In the United States, the IRM’s findings are summarized below:

“The federal government of the United States developed its fifth open government national action plan (2022–2024) with limited civil society involvement. During implementation of the action plan, the U.S. General Services Administration established a secretariat and multistakeholder forum to better support the OGP process and clarify commitments. While the implementation achieved moderate early results in some areas, the second Trump administration has since reversed or weakened some of this progress.”
